We are Gary and Kathleen Vaughan. Our home is in a rural area of North Texas, about 50 miles north of Dallas and 30 miles south of the Texas/Oklahoma state line. Through the years we have loved and raised many different dogs from little Shi-Tzus, Queensland Heelers to Chow-Chows, and many others in between. But when we brought our first Miniature Schnauzer home, we knew that we were headed down a brand new road, one that would truly change our lives. Not satisfied with one Schnauzer, we soon had to get another, a smaller one. And this began a quest that introduced us to the Toy Miniature Schnauzer, a quest that has brought us more joy and happiness than we could have ever imagined. It is well known that the Miniature Schnauzer is a highly intelligent, loyal, loving companion, with a personality all their own. Schnauzers love life and they are not afraid to show it! They are energetic, active little dogs with clean habits. Their size makes them delightful companions. Charming and attractive dogs, the Miniature Schnauzer is devoted to home and family and make excellent family pets and companion animals. We have fallen in love with these astounding little dogs. Our Schnauzers are our pets, our loyal friends, our loving companions, our family. Not all Toy Miniature Schnauzers are created equal and bringing one into your family can sometimes be an emotional, impulsive decision. Do your homework and research not only your breeder, but also any special needs that a toy puppy may have. This will help you avoid surprises and better prepare you to bring a new puppy into your home. We only breed a limited number of litters a year. Our goal is to breed and raise happy, healthy, well socialized, quality Toy and Miniature Schnauzers in a loving home environment. Our puppies are sold as companion pets only and nothing else is implied. We have sold some of our puppies to small breeders and we really appreciate it if you will be honest and identify yourself as a breeder. We are not a puppy mill and we do not sell to pet stores or pet brokers. All of our dogs are loved on every day, groomed regularly and receive excellent veterinary care from Dr. Shellie Wallace, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACT and her caring staff. You may contact her for references at PawsandClawsVet@embarqmail.com Although the AKC does not have a separate standard for the Toy Schnauzer, they are registered as Miniature Schnauzers. Our Toy Miniature Schnauzers are between 6 and 10 pounds and are 11 inches or less at the shoulder. We also have a few wonderful Small Miniatures Schnauzers in our "dog pack". We currently breed Black, Black & Silver, and Salt & Pepper. We have recently added a handsome young Liver & Tan male to our family and are really looking forward to a bright future for him with us since some of our lines carry for liver and parti color. Our registry of choice is the American Kennel Club. All of our dogs are AKC registered. For your convenience, our studs are dual registered with AKC and APRI.
